Starting a Daily Gratitude Habit
Practicing gratitude daily is a simple way to bring more positivity into your life. It can boost your mood, lower stress, and even improve your sleep.
1. Choose a Time That Fits
Pick a time you can stick to, like in the morning or before bed.
Attach it to a daily routine, like drinking coffee or brushing your teeth.
2. Keep It Short and Sweet
Write down one to three things you’re thankful for each day.
Be specific! Instead of “family,” try “my sister’s funny text today.”
3. Pick Your Style
Journal: Use a notebook or notes app.
Gratitude Jar: Write each thing on a slip of paper and put it in a jar.
Out Loud: Share your gratitude with a friend, family, or yourself.
4. Think About the “Why”
Take a moment to reflect on why you’re grateful for each thing.
This deepens the habit and keeps it meaningful.
5. Look Back and Celebrate
Review past entries occasionally to remind yourself of good moments.
It reinforces the habit and keeps you motivated.
